FAQ

Below are questions that are frequently asked of us. If your question isn’t here, please feel free to contact us by phone, email or our Send-a-Prayer form.

1. What time do you meet on Sundays?

We meet for Sunday services at 10:30 AM. We also have Church School at 9:30 AM and a fellowship time at noon, following the services. See our Worship Services page for more details.

2. I am not a member of your church. Can I attend services?

YES! It is our belief that we are all children of God – if you would like to worship with us, we encourage you to do so!

3. I am not a member of any church and have not been baptized. Can I attend services?

Of course. We encourage all who seek the Lord to visit with us. If you are searching for answers or are curious about the Family of God, please contact us or join us for our Sunday morning service. We can also make arrangements to meet privately if you prefer.

4. What should I expect from your services?

Our Sunday morning service is a traditional one that includes hymn singing, a sermon, offering, and communion. We also have a Taizé service on the first Wednesday evening of each month, which is geared more toward spirituality through meditation and chanting. We are working on a contemporary service as well, which will include a band and more modern music and messages. We strive to have a message for everyone in a format each individual can enjoy.

5. I am not a Christian. Do I have to take communion?

Every portion of our service is voluntary. We do not force anyone to take communion, nor will we judge you if you choose not to. As communion is dictated by our Lord, it is His table – not ours. It is not our place to invite or to forbid anyone to participate. If you believe in Jesus Christ and would like to partake in the communion we offer, please feel free – but do not feel obligated to do so.

6. Is there a charge for attending your church?

There is NEVER a charge to commune with our Church Family. We do take an offering each week to help fund our services and our Outreach causes, and all are encouraged to tithe what they are able – but it is by no means required.

7. I have fallen on hard times and need help. Can your church help me?

In this day and age, many of us are in need, both spiritually and physically. We can help you find answers. We have connections with local charity organizations who can help with food, clothing and shelter, and we are always here to help with your spiritual needs. Contact us to get a better idea of what we can offer you.

8. How do I join your church?

We offer membership in our Church Family to all who wish to join. All we ask of you as a member of our church is that you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and accept him as your personal Savior. You can make that affirmation of faith during one of our Sunday services and transfer membership from your existing congregation to ours, or you can be baptized in the Faith if you have not previously done so.
