First Christian Church of Palo Alto was founded in 1896, back before the streets were paved and there were wheat fields as far as the eye could see. The City of Palo Alto grew up around 
our congregation. We moved to our current location at 2890 Middlefield Road in 1954. We share our grounds with Keys School, the church of Tonga and the Sinapi Christian Church, a Chinese congregation that was founded in our sanctuary.
Dr. Jon McCauley Smith is our Pastor. He is joined by Doug Hornbeck, our Minister of Music. Britta Swartz manages our Church Office as our Administrative Assistant. Our office hours are 8 AM to 12 PM, Monday through Friday.
